TEXTILES:

I have been involved in the textile industry for years after my husband, and I bought a Christian apparel company in 2011.

As an artist foremost, I was initially intrigued by the printing process. I was drawn to the design principles and how they complement the item’s purpose. Before I knew it, I was actively involved in producing various items and rolling them out on different platforms.

At first, I was overwhelmed by all the possible printing processes and the nitty gritty of designing an image digitally. I had huge plans and ideas but needed to go through a minefield to learn how to use them competently.

We started with T-shirts for men, women, and children. When we sold the company, I started making scarves from my original art, which then escalated to wrap skirts as items that were not size-sensitive. The Lord led me to make printed and non-printed short jackets as a remembrance of the glory that we are carrying. Other jackets, short and long, quickly followed suit, as well as fabric for dresses and so forth. Each idea becomes the foundation for the next.

But I was only one, and I knew many others had the same resources and heart. Together, we can influence the world with light, love, and life in meaningful designs.
